ECONOLAP REINFORCING FABRIC

 

Davis Wire Econolap is a style of welded wire fabric developed by Davis specifically for the reinforcement of concrete “slabs-on-grade” and “topping-slabs”.  This style of fabric offers definite advantages in slab construction.

 

BENEFITS:

 

· The wide 12” spacing (17” diagonal) permits the workman to stand in the openings while installing the fabric and pouring the concrete.  The fabric is not displaced and remains at the proper elevation in the finished slab.

· The larger diameter wires develop stronger welded intersections, and permit wider spacing of the supports without sagging of the fabric.

· Econolap features 6” spacing — the length of the sheet on both sides — to allow for greater economy in the lapping of the fabric.
